More H-Town Fun

We all enjoyed a little dancing and music, courtesy of Taylor on the guitar and my uncle on the keyboard! Chitty Kids

It was so great to get to see my Gran and everyone and especially to meet my new cousins Joseph and Ashton!!

One night my dad had a great idea!!! He and Justin watched Riley, Macy, Brooks, & Harper while my mom, Hollie, and I went to an Astros game!! It was so much fun! The kids also had a good time-they went swimming and to McDonald's. They were exhausted, making it easier for Dad and Justin to get them to bed!My little brother has a ferret. Mr. Bojangles is not my favorite thing, to say the least, but the girls sure did love him. They played with him sooo much. It was cute. Philip is trying to talk me into getting a ferret, but it's not gonna happen!

Another favorite was the big sand box (aka sand volleyball court)!! The girls played and played with the sand. They managed to get it in every crack and crevice.

And then there was the biggest hit- jumping on the trampoline. The girls would have done this all day long if we would have stayed out there to watch them (in the 94 degree weather). They jumped and laughed. Harper got so excited every time she got on.
My dad and I drove the kids to Nacogdoches, about 2 hours away, to see my grandmother. It was an eventful trip. Both kids were in rare form. Poor Harper didn't feel good and broke out in a rash. We got her some Benadryl which put her right to sleep.
Macy, on the other hand was not super cooperative. She was not happy to see any of the old people who doted over her and she took her dress off at the restaurant, along with a few other escapades. I gave her some Benadryl too, hoping to take the edge off. No such luck. My dad was so patient and helpful...but I doubt he will volunteer to take us on a road trip again for a little while!

Heidi, you stories are just too hilarious! I love that your dad took you three girls to see your grandma...and really, don't we all take our dresses off at restaurants when we get upset or don't want to cooperate? I wish I could've met your girls when you were in H town! Oh well, another time hopefully!
Love ya,
Juli
